An Imaginative FantasyWritten & Illustrated by Mark Poe PURPLE DRAGONFLY WINNER Danny Venuti is a video-game junky. He daydreams in school and has a life-long rivalry with his neighbor Johnny. Yet he soon finds himself ensnared in a bizarre dream controlled by Nostrildamus, an odd-looking creature with a humongous nose and no eyes, yet can oddly see into the future.
Time Travel - Art History & MoreDanny and the DreamWeaver is a creative tale by award-winning author/artist Rich DiSilvio, written and illustrated under the penname Mark Poe. But we can keep that quiet! It involves time travel, art history and fantasy, while demonstrating how visionaries, like Steve Jobs, Salvador Dali and Albert Einstein, placed more emphasis on imagination than knowledge, whereby prompting young readers to think differently. Moreover, one sees how Danny evolves from a teen concerned only with playing violent video games and being a callous rival to his neighbor, Johnny Dolan, to one who begins to expand his horizons and learns the meaning and benefits of compassion. A Word From The Author Awesome! - That's the word. :) Yes, this book is awesome, but seriously, folks, I feel young and old alike will truly enjoy this imaginative tale. And yes, that's me in the upper right corner of this page. Handsome dude, huh? Some people say I look a bit like Mark Twain and Edgar Allan Poe, depending upon which side of my face you look at, but I guess that’s just an odd co-dissonance. Anyhow, Danny and the DreamWeaver is my first published book for middle graders, or non-graders. I just don't like de-graders. You know, the types of bullys who put people down. I would love to publish more books for young readers but I need your help. Therefore, please write a review on your favorite book store's website about Danny boy and the bizarre characters (and creatures) in Danny and the DreamWeaver. And, for Pete's sake, or Danny's sake or anyone else's sake, tell your friends and family members to get this book! :) Thanks for stopping by and please spread the word! --- Mark Poe |
